What is a Bio-Pic? Good question! A bio-pic is a film or video that tells the story of a person's life. It can focus on just one part or comprehensively tell the whole story of a person's life. However, "a biography is more than a list of impersonal facts like birth, education, work, relationships and death. It delves into the emotions of experiencing such events.(Wikipedia)" Previously, because it took so much time write and too much money to produce, only a few people have had their lives told and preserved by a biography. Today with the advent of personal computers and cheaper technology more and more people have the ability to share and preserve their stories through film and videos. It is now possible to create a documentary much like that of A&E for a fraction of the cost. Unlike written memoirs or a biographical book video can combine a wide range of mediums: old pictures, your favorite music, the sound of your voice, and body language, not to mention one video can share multiple perspectives on the same event by interviewing several people.

Still, the idea of creating your own video biography is a new idea to many. It has been a long road to get to this point where is plausible, but soon I believe everyone will have a video to pass on to future generations about their own successes, failures, and loves. Be one of the first.
